This is an original part from Craftsman for use with Leaf Blowers / Vacuums, Trimmers, and Hedge Trimmers. The seal crankcase prevents oil leaks between the crankshaft and crankcase opening. The most common reason for replacing the seal crankshaft is if there is leakage on the crankshaft, leakage from the crankcase, the oil seals are worn or damaged, the bearings are grinding or bearing seizures. This part is sold individually. Here is a list of tools that are needed to replace the seal crankcase is a receptacle for draining fuel, Torx wrenches, spark plug wrench or socket, a 10mm wrench (or adjustable), long-nosed pliers, rubber mallet, standard screwdriver, starter rope (or similar), adjustable pliers, socket set, 2-cycle engine oil (for lubricating seals), razor blade (to scrape gasket surface), and an ignition gapping gauge.
