This is an original Black and Decker part manufactured for use with trimmers. This plastic guard assembly mounts near the trimmer head, and is used to protect from clipping debris. The guard assembly includes the blade that trims excess trimmer line, the guard assembly is sold individually.

I used the cross reference on the website and received the correct part. It came quickly and I was able to install myself!
remove 2bolts remove old guard. attach new guard tighten bolts with allen wrench. 2 minutes tops to replace.
only issue is that when a part is ordered, new screws would have been included with the new guard.
It was easy and the shield was much better quality than the original. So thanks. Back making noise to irritate neighbors. Glad to know that you are there. Snapped right on and screwed it in place.
