Product Description

?

Genuine OEM replacement part used on Black and Decker String Trimmers. This part is made out of Plastic and it is Sold Individually. This part helps to direct grass trimmings away from the user as well as provide protection from the cutting string while unit is in operation. To attach the Guard follow simple steps. • Turn the trimmer upside down so that you are looking down at the spool cap. • Turn the guard upside down and slide it onto the motor housing. Make sure the tabs on the guard engage the ribs on the motor housing. • Continue to slide the guard on until you hear it "snap" into place. • Using a Phillips Screwdriver, insert the guard screw to complete the guard assembly.

For a Black n Decker cordless weed trimmer. The hood cover (guard assembly) over my cord reel was cracked and had to be replaced. The cap cover over the cord reel was completely worn out and had to be replaced. The hood only required a screwdriver and removing a couple of screws then pulling the old cracked cover off. Installing the new h ood was as easy as sounding into position and then securing it with the screws. These inexpensive parts were easy to replace and saved me from purchasing a new weed trimmer.
