This is an original replacement part manufactured for use with Black and Decker trimmers. The is eyelet fits onto the outer housing. It prevents wear caused by the string, where the it exits the housing. This eyelet is for use with the type 1 style outer housing, and is sold individually. Please note the type 2 housing has the eyelets included.

Just took off the old, and put on the new. Same basic steps for when you\'re replacing string. Only needed the screwdriver to put the new blade on. Took all of 1 minute and I was weed whacking again.
