I removed the piece of the broken guard by removing two screws (if difficult to remove, spray WD40 on them and let it sit for a while) and tapped the remaining piece of plastic out of the trimmer. I snapped the new guard into place and replaced the screws.
Removed the screws holding the guard on, then removed the screw and blade from the old guard and attached them to the new guard. Then installed the new guard on the trimmer.

Plastic guard was broken off and needed new housing as old cover kept coming off.

The Plastic Guard, Edge Guide and Cutting Blade, all broke off and broke into pieces.
1. Removed the remaining broken piece of the Plastic Guard by unscrewing two small screws with an allen wrench.
2. Replaced new guard.
3. Attached new edge guide. (It easily snapped into place)
4. Attached new cutting blade with screws.
1. Removed the broken guard.
2. Installed the blade on the new guard.
3. Installed the guard onto the grass trimmer.
4. Waiting to use up the line on the old spool before replacing with new one.
Removed the screws that hold the guard to the trimmer. And then installed the new guard. Then I removed the line cutting blade from the old guard and put it on the new guard.
1. Removed broken plastic shield by removing the 2 attachment screws
2. Attached the new string trimmer cutter blade to the new plastic guard.
3. Attached the new plastic shield with the 2 screws that I removed earlier.
Removed the old guard with some difficulty. Removing the screws using a square drive bit did not release the old guard since there are also two locking tabs.
