Removed the old guard with some difficulty. Removing the screws using a square drive bit did not release the old guard since there are also two locking tabs. Cut the plastic tabs with a hacksaw and the old guard came right out. The new guard fit perfect. NOTE that the new guard does not come with a string cutter blade so save the old gu ard and remove the blade and reinstall on the new guard. Good to go.

My son-in-law replaced the guard on the trimmer. He found no screws/bolts were included so he purchased them. Then, he had to work to get \"cutter\" (some little piece attached to the guard. He said it was to cut the string). off the original broken guard. After he was able to do that and put it on the new guard, all worked fine. Thank yo u. All is fine now!
