This is a genuine manufacturer-sourced replacement field which is specially designed for use with DeWALT wet tile saws. A field is a center component of an electric motor which drives the tool, in conjunction with an armature it rotates the main shaft. Generally, a field is damaged by overloading the power tool, or it may get damaged by a bad armature. Keep in mind that it is highly recommended to replace both carbon brushes when replacing a field, please note this high-quality component is sold individually.
