This was a Ryobi 10\" table saw. Bought it used. Had intermittent problem of not starting when power switch turned on. The first time this happened I bumped the table with my knee and the motor started. Good thing I was clear of the blade. Kind of like handling a gun you thought wasn\'t loaded. Used a meter to trace power through switch a nd to the motor. Switch was good. Suspected the brushes so removed motor from mounting bracket. Close quarters but just enough room for the socket wrench. Removed the three screws securing the motor cover to reveal the housing where the brushes were mounted. Removed the electric spade connectors from the brush housings and gently pried them out with a screwdriver. One brush was worn but still making contact. The other was toast. Pulled the old brushes from the housings and replaced with the new ones. It was just a matter of reversing the process to reassemble. Applied power, flipped the switch and bingo - it fired right up. THANK YOU ereplacement parts. I would highly recommend you to everybody.

The hardest part was figuring out how to remove the motor so I had access to the brushes. After taking the saw almost completely apart, I discovered three small bolts hidden inside the mechanism that tilts the blade. They are a little difficult to get a wrench on, but once I found them, the rest of the job was simple.
I took the motor off
Removed the end cover of the motor with two screws,
Lift the brushes from their bracket
Remove the wiring clip
Remove the old brush assembly
Replace both brushes
Reverse the assembly process.
Use your saw that works great with the new brushes.
