This replacement dado insert is a genuine Ridgid item, not an aftermarket imitation. It is sourced directly from original equipment manufacturer for use with table saws. The purpose of an insert is to reduce splintering on the cuts. It also helps to prevent pieces of wood from getting stuck between the blade and the plate. Please note, one plastic dado insert is included per order.
