This rubber piece is a genuine Makita manufactured part. It is manufactured for various power tools. A cord protector guards the wires from damage caused by motion and strain. Damaged cords must be replaced to avoid safety hazards. A replacement cord is sold separately. This item consists of one (1) cord protector. This is a simple and quick repair. • Unplug machine • Remove the casing • Detach cord from tool • Slide cord protector onto cord • Reattach wires and casing • Test power tool
