1) I dissembled the motor assembly to make sure that was what was causing the problem. It was.
2) When the part came in, I put it back together in a reverse operation.
3) Being as the part in question is in the front of the assembly, my only regret was not taking pictures, or video, as I was taking apart. There are a lot of different screws. I had actually got most of it back together, and then realized that I forgot to attach the dust cover cloth, and had to take it back apart again.
4) My advice would be to document with a video or pics. Also, when you have the motor apart, be careful with the fan blades. Don\'t pry on them trying to remove the armature from the old gear housing. You will bend the blades. Be patient and gradually work it out.

Remove curtain gaurds, remove threaded bolt shaft and gear sproket, remove tension guard line, remove cutting blade, drop down saw motor, open up housing to gear drive, remove bearings and drive motor, install bearings in new housing, lube it, reverse install of all removed parts
