This authentic DeWalt replacement part is sold individually. rnrnSwitches are commonly replaced parts in power tools, handling all on/off and variable speed operations. They also have a role in electric breaking; they can momentarily reverse electrical polarity. Because switches use mechanical internals, they will degrade and wear out over time, eventually needing replacement. Switch went out on DeWalt table saw. Saw would still run, even switched off.

2. Unplug the 4 wires. 2 black, 2 white, from backside of switch.
3. Reinstall 4 wires to back of new switch (I took a snapshot of 4 wire pattern with my cell phone, as to reconnect wires to proper switch terminals).

Saw stopped working. actuated power switch a few times, saw jumped to life once then stopped. surmised (hoped) a faulty switch.
