My garden pump sprayer lost its capability to hold pressure

2. Replaced rubber components on bottom of plunger and tube.
3. Had to use a flat blade screw driver to help put on the new rubber seal on to bottom of the
plunger part.
Only wish the kit contained the rubber seal that goes around top, that the handle rod goes up an ... Read more d down through.
But after 20 plus years of use, I guess I canGÇÖt complain too much. It works like new again.
Pump sprayer would not build pressure

2. Remove cap for pump assembly.
3. Pull out handle and replace seal on the end of pump handle.
4. Remove and replace check valve on the bottom of pump housing.
5. Replace o-ring at the top of the pump housing.
6. Reinstall pump assembly into sprayer.
Plunger gasket deteriorated over time

2. made a taper-tool the size of the retaining collar
3. placed the new gasket on the taper-tool
4. aligned the taper-tool with the retaining collar and pressed the new gasket past the retaining collar
