1. Reel was disassembled to the bare case and all parts thoroughly cleaned before the new parts came.*

Be methodical.Take special care to keep track of parts - especially washers and shims, and their exact placement. It\'s easy to lose pieces when disassembling with all the dirty grease and forget where they go. I used an old white hand towel and placed them in the exact order I removed and cleaned them. Have a schematic for your reel handy if you can get one online, just in case.
