This is a genuine part which is supplied directly from the original equipment manufacturer and is used with Craftsman lawn tractors. The idler pulley applies tension to the belt which then makes the blade to rotate. This part is made of metal and is sold individually. Before installation, disconnect the spark plug wire and make sure the ignition key is removed. You will need a socket wrench and an open ended wrench to complete this repair.
