Snow blower would not track forward

Removed the snow blower handles, engine, and blower half.
Disassembled the snow blower transmission down to the traction hex shaft.
The shaft had a groove worn in it.
After assembling the transmission the first time , I found some linkage with a cracked weld in it.
I disassembled the transmission the second time , welded the linkage, and reassembled the transmission.
Installed the blower section, engine, and operator handles.
After adjusting the linkages, I started the snow blower and took it for a test drive. It worked perfectly.
EReplacementParts provided me with parts for a very old snowblower so I can keep it running for several more years. It is a 1999 Murray model snowblower. The parts went on backorder and eReplacementParts kept me informed the whole time by email.
