Original Muffler fell broke off where pipes connect

David from Shorewood, Wisconsin

Difficulty Level:
A Bit Difficult
Total Repair Time:
30 - 60 mins
Tools:
Nutdriver, Screw drivers, Socket set, Wrench set

Removed the screws that attached the hard plastic snowblower trim pieces. Needed to disconnect the primer hose and the key electrical connector in order to raise that piece of trim to access the unit. Removed the mounting screws for the original unit and removed the muffler. Installed the new muffler unit and re-installed all of the tr im, screws , primer hose, and key connector. Started up the unit and let it run for a couple of seconds and then noticed a shiny threaded bolt on the garage floor. Realized it was one of two that fell off the actual muffler body (on the backside of course). Needed to re-remove everything in order to re-remove the muffler unit in order to re-attached the screws that came loose. So if you are doing this, please make sure the (4) bolts on the unit are tight before installing. Otherwise everything went pretty smooth.
