This is a genuine part which is supplied directly by the original equipment manufacturer and is used with Ariens snow blowers. When the flywheel is engaged, it sends the electric current through the ignition module then to the spark plug to bring power to the unit. This part is made of metal and plastic and is also sold individually. The tools needed to complete this repair are a screwdriver, and a socket wrench to aid you.
