This lid is a genuine OEM replacement part. It is intended for use with the Hamilton Beach 4 Qt. Slow Cooker. It fits snugly over the cooker in order to prevent steam from escaping. The high temperatures inside the cooker cannot be maintained without the lid. It is made of glass and should be replaced if it is cracked or broken. This part includes the plastic handle on top.
