The stoneware dish fits inside the heating base of the unit, and is the dish that holds all the ingredients. The dish is designed to retain and evenly distribute the heat needed for cooking. Never use cleaning materials that are harsh and could scratch the surface. Replace this dish if it is showing signs of wear and tear.
