This black 6-quart stoneware is for a slow cooker and is sold separately. It is the heavy dish that sits in the heating base and can be easily removed by simply pulling it straight up (once it has cooled off or with cooking mitts). It can be safely washed in the dishwasher, or gently by hand. It is also ovenproof and microwave friendly. It should not be used on gas or electric burners or under the broiler. This stoneware dish is most commonly replaced due to cracks, chips, or just stubborn food stains.

Part arrived broken due to poor packaging
After a long wait my crock finally arrived and as soon as I picked up the package I knew it was not going to be salvageable. Upon opening the box, the crock was wrapped in one layer of bubble wrap and I did not even open the bubble wrap because my crock was shattered into pieces.
