This is a removeable lid with a handle, locking latches and gasket. To properly secure the lid, place it on top of the stoneware, hook the wire clip onto the clip hook, flip the latch around to the top, and push the latch down to properly lock it in place. The lid is dishwasher-friendly, but should never be placed in the oven. If it is damaged in any way it will need to be replaced immediately. This OEM lid is sold as an individual item.
