This is an OEM black oval 6.5-Quart removeable stoneware dish designed to serve over seven people. The dish is placed into the base, and the ingredients are poured directly into this dish for slow cooking. It is removed by simply lifting it out of the heating base and can do double duty as a serving dish. It can be washed in the dishwasher, but it is heavy and should be handled with care. If this part is chipped or scratched it is not safe to cook with and will need to be replaced right away.
