The stoneware is the insert that fits into the heating base of the slow cooker and is where the ingredients are placed. This stoneware is black in color and is 4 quarts in capacity. This is a very durable dish, however, if it cracks or chips, this OEM replacement part is exactly what you will need. To keep this product well-maintained, we recommend never using coarse cleaning materials or harsh chemicals. They are dishwasher friendly, but should be handled with care.
