This is a genuine manufacturer-sourced part which is specially designed for use with Makita industrial power cutters. It provides an identical replacement for a faulty or a missing decompression valve that was equipped on a new unit. Depressing it reduces the force needed for compression, so little force is needed to accelerate the engine to its starting speed.The high pressure in the combustion chamber after the first ignition automatically closes the decompression valve (button pops out). Make sure to refer to the owners manual and the diagrams of your model for the exact location and the correct installation of this part. Keep in mind, one durable metal valve is included.
