"This is a complete OEM chain tensioner set for a chainsaw. The chain tensioner connects to the adjustment screw and fits onto the bar. When the adjuster is turned this moves the tensioner to tighten or loosen the chain on the bar. Most damage done to the tensioner happens when the bar is over tightened. This causes the threads to strip out of the pin or strip on the adjustment screw. If this happens, it will need to be replaced right away. To access the chain tensioner, remove the brake assembly bar and chain from the saw. You will then need to remove the metal cover from the brake assembly. Next, remove the adjuster bolt assembly from the housing. Then separate the bevel gears and its holder and remove the adjustment pin from the bolt. Always refer to your model's instruction guide for repair steps specific to your equipment."
