This is a genuine OEM sourced replacement part commonly utilized on Makita saws. The purpose of this component is to allow a user to control the on/off function of the tool, over time parts may wear out and begin to fail eventually requiring a replacement. worked saw too hard cutting with grain and fried battery, switch and brushes
Replaced switch and brushes and brush holder on positive lead. Temporarily soldered new brush holder wire to old after cutting off old brush holder and used old wire to pull/thread new wire through next to saw motor without disassembling motor.
