The lever attaches to the frame. It is a genuine OEM sourced part which is specially designed for use with Makita band saws. This item is priced as an individual replacement part. During the installation process, a screwdriver and an allen wrench might be needed to replace this item. This part is made out of metal and plastic and will need to be replaced if it breaks.
Used an Allen wrench to remove the idler wheel. Used a Philips screwdriver to remove the old lever. Reverse the process to reassemble. Works like new!
