?This is a genuine manufacturer-sourced part which is made for Ridgid belt sanders. It is an identical replacement for a missing or a damaged driving roller that was installed on a new unit. The part supports and drives the sanding belt. Note, the tension roller is sold separately. Refer to the appropriate diagrams of your model for the correct repair procedure. One durable rubber roller is included. Note, the hardware to secure it is sold separately. A screwdriver and snap-ring pliers will be needed to perform this repair.

2. Figured that drive roller must be attached to other side of housing, but owners manual was not helpful and there was no information online about this unit.
3. Called Ridgid customer helpline and ... Read more they said it would be a pin held in place by a cotter pin, but that\'s not at all what it looks like. Turns out the driver roller is held in place to a shaft by a REVERSE-THREADED NUT! I was going the wrong way, but once I turned the whole roller the opposite direction it just threaded right off. Replacement was easy. Next critical step is to get the housing back on with everything aligned and springs under tension so that the belt will stay on.
