This hook-and-loop sander pad is a direct replacement for many Makita orbital sanders. It is a genuine Makita part, not off-brand. It features a foam body attached to a hard plastic backing plate. It also has a sturdy Velcro style bottom for use with hook-and-loop sandpaper. This pad has eight vacuum holes and is 5" in diameter. This pad is compatible with the Makita sanders listed below.

Remove the 3 screws holding the pad, remove the pad. Then using the same screws, screw the new pad on the sander

The rubber pad separated from the face of the pad as it was over 10 years old.

I ordered a new hook and loop pad and it fit perfectly, I was finished in less than five minutes and ready to sand. Remove three screws and the old pad. Screw the new pad on with the three screws.
