Brushes make contact with the rotating armature and will eventually wear down and need to be replaced. This brush is priced as a single item, please note two brushes may be required.

Remove hose clamps by lightly prying with screwdriver
Replace hose and reuse clamps
Remove housing screws
Remove two screws that hold brushes
Remove one screw that holds brush and replace brush put screw back in then two that hold the brush housing
Repeat for other brush
Put screws back in housing
