Removed the pad and the pad plate , removed clamps and spring off pad plate, and put new ones on. Putting the new ones on can be tricky as the spring is very stiff, that is where holding the pad plate in the vice came in. I started one side of the shaft in the assembly , then pulled the spring into place with a good set of long nose plie
