Genuine Porter Cable replacement part, this item is sold individually. The 3" Shoe Assembly attaches to the base of the 3 X 24 Belt Sanders listed below, The purpose of this part is to allow the sanding belt run against it, it helps to create a smooth flat sanded surface. It includes the metal platen cork & three mounting screws. Over time the platen and cork will start to wear. It should be replaced ASAP then.

Remove 3 screws holding shoe assembly and remove. Replace with new assembly and replace screws. 2 minutes total.

Remove sanding belt, remove three screws. Remove the worn shoe assembly. Install the new shoe assembly. Install the sanding belt.

Simple repair, just needed to confirm the correct model of belt sander to make sure I got the right part. Once I had the new shoe assembly, just removed 3 screws on the old one and installed the new in its place. Perfect fit.

1. Removed three screws from old shoe and support bracket I
2. Removed old shoe assembly
3. Cleaned base area with a scaraper and fine sandpaper.
4. Installed new shoe assembly and support bracket with new screws.
