1. Removed belt cover
2. Removed caps covering motor brushes.
3. Removed old brushes
4. Replaced brushes with new ones.
5. Reinstalled belt cover

One of the brushes was worn out so I replaced both and replaced the brush holder that was corroded. All that had to be removed was the motor housing by taking out three screws.
