This is an original Flex replacement part manufactured for use with orbital polishers. The switch is used to relay electricity from the power cord to the motor. This switch includes the dial to adjust the variable speed control, and the switch is available as an individual replacement part.
Opened up handle of polisher with just 3 screws. Took pic of wiring of start switch (more than just 2 wires). Removed old switch and replaced with new switch from ereplacementparts.com. Rewired up switch and closed cover, installed 3 screws and now polished works great, thanks.

Only worked until I let the trigger go, then nothing. Worked later that day with the same results.
I removed the handle housing, and removed the wires. Replaced the wires to the new trigger and it works perfectly.
