The o-ring goes next to the spacer. It is made of rubber and is sold individually. This authentic item is supplied directly from the original equipment manufacturer for use with drills, engines, grinders, polishers, and sanders made by Flex. A set of pliers and a screwdriver may be necessary during the installation of this part. Over time it may break and will need to be replaced.
