Product Description

?

This is an authentic OEM approved replacement part specially designed for Dewalt disc sanders. This is a hook and loop fastener closure system. The rough side is called hook. Its softer mate is called loop. The hooks engage into the loop and provide the closure mechanism. This part is made out of plastic and it is sold individually. Please note screws used to attach it to the sander are sold separately. Changing the pad is easy and will only require a wrench supplied with your tool. • Place supplied wrench onto spindle • Rotate and align wrench with dust shroud baffles • While holding the spindle with the wrench, place sanding pad onto spindle and rotate clockwise until tight

I am not able to remove the old pad. I have read all the other reviews telling me how easy it was, but I am not able to get it off. The dust shield is NOT removable, so I am not able to get the wrench placed in a way to hold the spindle to get the old pad off. Very frustrated at this point. I will keep trying, as I do not want to have to throw the sander away, as that is what would happen as it is useless without the new pad.
