Motor brushes wore out.

2. Vacuumed the inside of the motor and housing as it was packed with sawdust.
3. Removed the old brushes by removing 2 tiny screws in each brush.
4. Used a tiny phillips screwdriver and needle nose pliers.
5. Had to magnetize the screwdriver to get them to s ... Read more tart.
6. The brushes are separately packed so the graphite brush must be inserted into the holder.
7. Make sure you have the brush curve turned the right way to fit the armature.
8. Re-assemble the plastic case and test the new brushes. There should be no large shower of sparks and very little sound coming from the armature.

2. Removed old brush set and replaced with new,

A couple of the contacts on the main drive shaft/motor had come loose and was sparking and it was beyond repair. It over heated as a result.
