This part is an OEM from the Milwaukee manufacturer. The spindle gear is made of heavy-duty metal, and is designed for use with several grinder devices. This component is secured onto the spindle, between spindle housing and ball bearing. The spindle gear works with the armature in transferring the movement direction. This part is sold individually. A screwdriver is needed in making the proper replacement.
