It was simple, unfasten the light bulb cover, take the dead bulb out and replace with the new! Removed the old collet and installed the new replacement!

Light bulb 20 year old router, piece of cake to repair!
The replacement bulb had a flared edge where the
Glass is inserted inside the base. I used a fine file and carefully smooth it like the original bulb. Finally I pushed the bulb and it locked inside the light fixture. .
1. Dismantled the router by removing one control handle
2. Removed the old bulb, replaced with the new one
3. Reassembled in reverse order
