This replacement collet is designed for use with Ridgid trimmers. It is a genuine item that is sourced directly from original equipment manufacturer. This collet is used to secure bits. Over time a collet may wear out requiring replacement. It is made out of metal and is sold individually. Please note the collet nut is sold separately. This collet is cone sleeved To replace this item you would need to use a wrench. • Make sure the tool is unplugged • First you would need to remove the collet nut • Once the nut is removed you can remove the old collet • Secure the new one in place • Tighten the collet nut back in place and test the tool
