Product Description

?

This is a Genuine OEM Approved replacement part designed for Routers. This assembly includes One (1) Carbon Brush with Lead Wire attached and a Metal Brush Holder. Please note Spring is Sold Separately. Carbon motor brushes are one of the most commonly replaced power tool components. Because carbon brushes are wear items, meaning that through friction and use they will gradually wear away, they will eventually require replacement. It is recommended to replace both brushes at the same time. You would need a Screwdriver and Pliers to complete this job.

Screw drivers

Remove the two screws holding the upper housing. Lift the upper housing away - being careful of the power switch and the rpm controller. Use the hex driver to remove the retaining screw from each of the brush holders - lift them out at an angle and remove the power cable from the quick connect. Essentially - you simply reverse the steps t o install the new ones

A couple notes - make sure the springs and brushes are free to travel - they will wear over time - by design - but if they don\'t make good contact the router will stop running.
