1. Removed the old brushes.
2. The new brushes came with male plugs, needed female.
3. Removed female connectors from old brushes and installed on new brushes.
4. Installed brushes.

Brush connection to field had arched resulting in no circuit.

Removed armature from housing and existing connection to field terminal. The new brushes do not use this connection but rather plug in directly to field. I found that the old connection had arched and I needed to solder new brush connection to field. I did so and the router works like new.
