Easy repair
This was the sixth ice maker I’ve put in my fridge freezer over about 15 years. They are easy to install but I wish they would last longer. Last one went two years. And usually within months they start shedding the Teflon coating in the cube tray. Over the years we’ve consumed a lot of Teflon to go with our PFAS. Thank you Mexico!

Ice maker wasn\'t making ice. Ice in tray but not being harvested

Removed baskets and door from bottom freezer. Loosened two top screws on holding ice maker to wall. Removed single screw on bottom of ice maker. Detached wiring ice maker wiring harness from refrigerator connector. Removed wiring harness from old ice maker and attached to new ice maker. Detached wire measure from old ice maker and at tached to new ice maker. Hung new ice maker from loosened screws and attached the wiring harness to connector on refrigerator. Attached bottom screw of ice maker to wall and tightened the two top screws so ice maker is securely connected. After several minutes the water flowed into the ice maker tray. No ice was made for 14 hours, or so, but the instructions said it could take up to 72 hours to start harvesting ice. Very simple, easy repair.
