Genuine Porter Cable replacement part, this part is sold individually. The 891672SV Shoe and Bracket Assembly is used to stabilize the saws shown below. You press the Shoe against the material being cut. You can adjust the foot by the 849235 Screws. The Foot also pivots for cutting angles. It is advised not to use the saw without the Foot, this could cause damage to the saw.

Loosen the two allen screws holding the shoe in place, these are accessible through holes in the underside of rubber boot over the end of the saw, slip out the old part,slip in the new part, re-tighten the two allen screws.
Removed the sheared pin form the old shoe bracket assembly. Had to file down the tapered / sheared end of the pin. I had materials for a temporary fix: a short steel threaded rod (both ends), with accommodating threaded caps. Tolerance on the steel rod I used was very good to handle vibrations. As far as the strain reliever for the power cord, I
removed the handle / switch casing, removed the old cracked rubber part, disconnected the switch wiring, slid the new part on to the cord, reconnected the wiring and reassembled the handle / switch casing. Job done. Works well.

The shoe bracket broke at the bend where it mounted at the saw
Was easy I looked it over, decided I needed an allen wrench and unscrewed the screws until the broken piece came loose. Then slid the new shoe in and tightened the allen screws to secure it. Thank you for my fix. Nice to have my saws all back .
