Product Description

?

It is a genuine OEM item that is specially designed for Milwaukee sawzalls. This special retainer secures the shoe assembly that supports and guides the blade. If your shoe retainer is missing or is damaged this will provide an identical replacement for the original component that was installed on a new unit. One durable metal part is included. To replace it, you will need a screwdriver to remove and reinstall the shoe assembly. Make sure to refer to the appropriate diagram of your model for the correct installation of the new part.

I bought a recip saw and there were some parts missing from the nose. The hardest part was removing the rubber boot so I could install the Shoe Retainer. Once the boot was off it only takes one screw to install the retainer. Then I wrestled the boot back in place. The shoe pin is inserted through the hole on the front of the saw. Line up the D-shape of the shoe pin with the release lever and snap the lever onto the pin. Insert the shoe into the front of the saw and lock the lever. Simple!

First of all this was used to fix my orbital sawzall, but that selection was not available. My sawzall was missing the screw( perhaps supposed to be two???), retainer pin, and handle.

1. Use some silicone spray or WD-40 and spray under the protective boot. This makes it easy to peak off. Remove it.
2. Place the retain er and using a T-20 or flat headed screw driver secure it with the new screw.
3. Reinstall the boot.
4. Install the shoe into the retainer.
5. Insert the pin.
6. Pry the handle over the pin. One side of the pin is flat, so it\'ll only go on one way.
7. Done.
