It provides a user with a comfortable grip for adjusting the lever which secures the blade. This is an identical replacement for a missing or a damaged component that was installed on a new unit. One durable plastic cap is included. Note, the hardware to secure it is sold separately. A screwdriver will be needed to perform this repair. Make sure to refer to the owner's manual and the appropriate diagram for your model to ensure the proper replacement procedure.
