This item is a genuine Chicago Pneumatic replacement part that has been sourced from the original manufacturer. The metal spring is used with pneumatic ratchets. This item is part of the throttle valve assembly and is used to provide compression for the valve when the throttle button is pressed. This item is available as an individual replacement part.
Removed the throttle valve plug
Remove the old o-ring, spring and throttle valve
Installed the new throttle valve, spring and o-ring on the throttle valve plug and tightened it
Inserted throttle pin, throttle valve and spring, and plug. Tighten throttle plug with screwdriver. Plugged ratchet to air hose and throttle is working fine. No air leaks. Very simple and easy repair. Would use again if more repairs are needed.
Cleaned the tool inside and out
Remove the throttle valve plug
Installed the throttle valve
Installed the spring
Put the o-ring on the valve plug
Dropped some air tool in it, hooked it up to the air hose, It ran like a new tool
1. Removed black plastic screw cap from body of wrench.
2. Removed old spring and plastic valve.
3. Cleaned valve seat.
4. Removed o-ring from plastic screw and replaced with new o-ring.
5. Put new valve, spring and cap screw in body
6. Test to confirm.
