Turned off power at breaker box
Removed old light switch
Removed wires from old light switch
Inserted wires into new light switch
Installed light switch in range hood position
Turned on power at breaker box
1. Removed the old light switch from the range hood by unscrewing the nut.
2. The switch was already falling apart so the wire came out easily.
(You should shut off the breaker powering the range hood first to avoid electric shock)
3. Insert the wire to the new switch according to the diagram came with the switch.

Nutdriver, Pliers, Screw drivers, Socket set, Wrench (Adjustable), Wrench set
Removed trim that covered the switch.
Removed access panel under the hood.
Removed but that secured the switch.
Cut wires close the switch.
Stripped wires to reinsert into switch.
Reattached switch, installed access plate, and reinstalled trim plate.
With the excellent instructions on the switch, it was so easy to change and the diffuser simply snapped into place, it took more time to remove 30 years worth of accumulated grease on the range hood, but now it looks showroom new
Removed old switch by cutting wire still attached to switch and then loosing nut holding switch in place.
Striped ends of both wires and inserted ends of both wires into respective quick connect terminals.
Placed switch back in place and nut using needle nose pliers.
Placed knob back on switch stem.
Tested switch

Note: Before I placed the wires into the switch, I determined the \"off\" position as I was working with hot wires. Be careful not to let the wires touch or grab both ends at the same time so as not to get shocked.
