Lamp sockets in range hood deteriorated from heat.

I removed the light bulbs from the range hood
I removed the bottom panel from the range hood (5 screws).
I removed the light socket assembly (it snaps in)
I snapped in the new assembly
I replaced the bulbs.

One of the two light sockets failed.

I removed the 5 screws holding the panel that the light sockets were mounted in.
I disconnected the old light socket assembly wiring at the connector and removed the old sockets from the panel.
I connected the new light socket assembly wiring at the connector and installed the new sockets in the panel.
I replaced the pan el in the range and reinstalled the 5 screws.
In essence, I unplugged the old assembly and plugged in the new.

Range light sockets were scorched and switch was not flipping well anymore

Replaced switches and lamp socket assembly. All was plug and play as far as wiring. The most painful thing other than finding which breaker to shut off was getting the old switches out of the range housing. The switches pop in and plastic tabs pop out to keep them there. So you have to basically push them in with a screwdriver and the n push the switch out.

All is back working well again.

Lamp socket was burnt out.

Disassembled the the underside of the range hood without removing it from the cabinet. Unplugged and removed the old lamp socket assembly and installed the new one. Reassembled the hood.

First I read some of the comments on your web site. Like how many screws had to be removed and where they are located. With that information I just kinds followed the instructions I read.
To replace the wiring harness was very quick and easy. However working under the hood to put the screws back, was a bit more difficult.

Light socket defective from use.

Removed lower cover from range hood. 5 small screws.
Disconnected snap electrical connection
Took light assembly to workbench and removed sockets with wires attached.
Inserted new sockets with wires attached
Placed light assembly into hood and snapped electrical connection. Checked bulbs to be sure working but th en removed bulbs to finish.
Replaced lower cover as instructed and screws. Inserted bulbs. Job done.
Cost was less than $50.

1. Shut off the breaker to the range hood
2. Removed filters
3. Removed old housing (easy because it was just a clip)
4. Installed new housing (easy because it was just a clip)
5. Reinstalled filters
6. Turn the circuit breaker back on
7. Screwed in lightbulbs
