When my Karcher pressure washer started leaking big time I decided to try and repair it. The hardest part, and what took the longest time for me ,was getting the cover off the thing as the screws are set inside recesses which were too narrow for my screwdrivers and any socket extension I had. Eventually I removed the cover after running a drill bit inside the recesses just to give more room for my screwdrivers. Also I replaced the screws with cross heads when I put it back together. Obviously if I had had the right tools things would have been quicker at this point.Once I removed the cover I studied where pipes and cables connected and took a photograph of the internal set up before I disconnected anything further.
1.Laid unit on its back.
2.Removed cover.
3.Disconnected high pressure hose connection.
4.Removed motor/pump from out of case onto my work bench.
5.Removed the four retaining bolts that hold pump cover in place.
6.Carefully disengaged old pump.
7.Applied silicone grease ,lightly,to the seals/o rings of my new pump manifold and pushed it together.
8.Replaced pump retaining cover and tightened the four retaining bolts evenly.
9.Placed motor/pump back into unit and reconnected hoses.

One thing to be mindful of is the switch mechanism which has to be slid into position at the same time as the pump retaining cover is going on. I was surprised how simple the on/off switch system was and also how flimsy it seemed.
Anyway I am no expert by any means but I found this repair pretty straight forward and that I viewed a few on line videos that were invaluable .
